SCM Specialised Transport Co-coordinator

Our client is at the forefront of leading worldwide logistics sector. They globally provide in total logistics services to customers in such diverse industries as electronics, machinery, chemicals, oil refining and construction.

They are currently seeking a SCM Specialised Transport Co-coordinator to join their operations team.

<POSITION SUMMARY>

The specialized Transport Co-coordinator is responsible for daily management and monitoring of specialized sensitive Air Conditioning freight and supports the Distribution Supervisor and Distribution & Reverse Logistics Manager.

Daily activities include delivery planning with multiple carrier partners, direct container dispatch and load planning, vehicle & equipment planning; organizing order and shipment release with carrier, monthly transport KPI data preparation, exception management; customer service and carrier return investigation.

There is also requirement to assist with delivery performance reviews including weekly and monthly KPI reporting. The candidate should possess strong excel skills that can be applied to the daily activities of this role.

<PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES>

1. Cut off management §  Check all relevant IT systems; make sure all orders are released for picking before cut off.

§  Monitor the policy if all related parties are following the order release policy.

2. Daily transport issue resolution §  Monitor the exception (consignments that fail to meet On-time delivery, Damages, Split, Misdirect, Late order release)

§  Support Supervisor and Managers with problem resolution

§  Report any transport network disruption to daily delivery schedule.

§  Monitor and report back on IOD (Invoice on Delivery) revenue recognition daily to both carrier and LG Distribution supervisor and manager.

§  Follow up with carrier daily on all outstanding or incomplete deliveries where revenue has not been recognized.

3. Coordination §  B2B delivery coordination with special requirements (Commercial A/C products & support for special events as directed by Distribution Manager)

§  Customer service for both internal and external parties

§  Understand Dispatch Policy and able to coordinate and communicate this information with 3PL warehouses for dispatch of orders.

4. Reporting and Analysis of Transportation data. §  Weekly and monthly data collection and assistance with KPI reporting.

§  Preparation of data sets for use when reviewing transport service providers during regular weekly and monthly operational and performance meetings.

§  Data analysis of transportation rates for annual or tender review.

§  Daily review and follow up of IOD (invoice recognition) with carrier partners.

5. Return Validation and Entry §  Validate and process commercial returns including, rejected deliveries due to damages, cancelled orders and other.

§  Advised sales administration team of any required order replacements required due to damages.

§  Assist collections team with any local NZ collections of returned products when requested.

6. Local Sales Revenue Reporting (Post Delivery Execution) §  Report on local AU sales revenue achievements and targets on delivery completion.

§  Summary by product category and by revenue to each of the sales heads and AU SCM GM.

7. System use §  Able to operate GTMS (Global Transportation Management System)

§  Understand GERP

§  Management of master data (delivery schedule, route, customer default warehouse code) in related IT systems

<KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES>

 

Education level and/or relevant experience(s) §  Demonstrated experience in an administrative role within a logistics/supply chain, sales administration or customer service environment. Minimum 2-3 years of experience within a similar environment.

 

Knowledge and skills (general and technical) §  Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook

§  Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills

Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required) §  Good organisational skills and ability to prioritize

§  High attention to detail

§  Ability to communicate effectively with others

§  Experience working within an integrated computer system environment

§  Ability to work within a fast paced environment
